Black Defense International is a private mercenary outfit staffed by scarred, hyper-competent former soldiers who take on the missions no one else will. Each book follows a different operative as a dangerous assignment collides with an even more dangerous attraction. The series spans seven books, from human trafficking takedowns in Europe to stalker hunts and corporate espionage, always rooted in real-feeling military-world authenticity.

Each book spotlights a different BDI operative: broken men with violent pasts who discover their capacity for love through protecting women who refuse to be victims. The heroines are equally memorable — smart, stubborn, and more than capable of holding their own even when the danger is extreme.

Over seven books the overarching threat of the mysterious assassin Calypso and the enigmatic Ian Black himself is slowly revealed, culminating in Black Heart — the long-awaited story of the man who built BDI. Romance escalates from electric tension to full commitment in each standalone, while the team grows into a true 'found-family' of warriors who protect their own.
