Death's Mantle

Death's Mantle is a dark fantasy GameLit series following Lucian North, a man suffering from a fatal heart condition. When Death comes for him, Lucian unexpectedly aids the Grim Reaper against demons, and is rewarded with Death's Mantle. He's transported to a spiritual world and imbued with incredible powers he enhances with video game mechanics like a HUD and inventory.

As the new Death, Lucian faces fallen angels, parasites, and demon-born beings. He is also hunted by Death Hunters. He discovers that his brother is scheduled to die, but as Death, he finds himself unable to communicate with the living. Lucian must find a way to save his brother, exponentially grow in power, forge new alliances, and confront a threat that endangers his entire family's existence.
