Gareth Arban is a seventeen-year-old squire in Andomhaim dreaming of knighthood, glory, and winning the heart of the girl he loves. His quiet ambitions vanish when ruthless invaders wielding dark magic surge out of the northern lands. His devotion to protecting his companions and fulfilling his duty defines his transformational arc.

Across nine action-packed books, Gareth's initial military campaign expands into a desperate race to find the ultimate dark magic weapon before the sorceress Azalmora claims its power. Ultimately, he must face the artifact's curse directly to determine the fate of the entire world.
