The Out of Uniform series follows a tight-knit team of Navy SEALs stationed in San Diego, each finding that the discipline and danger of military life hasn't prepared them for falling in love. From a half-vampire bounty hunting alliance to a commanding officer's fiercely independent sister thrust into a forced-proximity arrangement, every book delivers a standalone heat-packed story. The men are alpha, loyal, and surprisingly vulnerable once the right woman comes along.

Catherine 'Jen' Scott and her fellow heroines are independent, sharp-tongued women who resist being controlled or defined by the men in uniform around them. Each heroine brings her own emotional baggage and strength, pushing back against alpha SEALs until both parties discover that asking for what you truly want is the bravest thing of all. The male leads are equally compelling: loyal, principled, and disastrously bad at romantic communication until they commit completely.

Across four books, Elle Kennedy weaves together the lives of Cash, Seth, Dylan, and Jackson as each SEAL confronts his own walls against commitment. The series explores the tension between military duty and personal desire, the fear of vulnerability, and the discovery that love can survive even the most impossible circumstances. Themes of overprotective family interference, unexpected attraction, and the courage it takes to choose a future beyond orders run throughout the series.
