Pack of Outcasts

Peri's empathic magic has always been out of control — but when it starts blitzing supernatural creatures as well as mortals, the authorities give her one last chance: join three Shadowkind criminals on a mission to investigate attacks on innocent humans. Her new team consists of a frigid winter fae, a brutal basilisk shifter, and a chaotic kitsune — none of whom see her as anything but a ditzy liability. Strange creatures are ramping up their attacks, and figuring out why will take the whole misfit group working together.

Peri radiates happiness so intensely it becomes a literal power — optimistic, occasionally reckless, and utterly disarming to the cold and dangerous men around her. Her empathy is both gift and vulnerability, and her growth lies in learning that warmth is not weakness.

Across three books Peri's bonds with her reluctant teammates deepen from rocky professionalism into something far more consuming, while the threat escalates from rogue monsters to a full-blown dimensional rift pouring toxic shadow into the mortal world. The series arc celebrates the power of unexpected found family, the warmth of a heroine who weaponizes joy, and the way even the most monstrous hearts can soften for the right person.
