The Macht

The Macht is a fantasy series set on the world of Kuf, focusing on the Macht, a fierce and barbaric people renowned for their martial prowess. The first book, The Ten Thousand, follows Rictus, a young soldier who becomes a mercenary after his city falls. He joins an army of ten thousand Macht warriors hired by the Great King of Asuria's brother, plunging them into a war at the heart of the Asurian Empire.

Twenty-three years later, Corvus introduces a new war-leader, Corvus, who seeks to unite the Macht under his rule. Corvus, a brilliant general, aims to become the absolute ruler of all the Macht, asking Rictus for help. In Kings of Morning, Corvus succeeds and becomes the High King of the Macht, setting his sights on overthrowing the Asurian Empire completely.
