Kate Harper's ordinary New Jersey life ends the moment she wakes up chained in the Pit, an alien arena where warriors fight for the right to claim a human female. Vaxa'an, the Prime Leader of Luxiria, needs a mate to secure his species' survival, but when he encounters Kate his ancient 'Instinct' activates and every political calculation becomes irrelevant. She is determined to return to Earth. He is determined she will not.

Kate Harper is a no-nonsense, emotionally resilient woman who refuses to be defined by her circumstances — kidnapped, yes; broken, never. She challenges Vaxa'an at every turn, and her stubborn insistence on agency is what ultimately earns her his genuine respect rather than just his desire.

Eight books follow Vaxa'an and Kate's story to resolution, then pivot to standalone romances for each of Luxiria's war generals — Lihvan, Rixavox, Vikan, Kirov, Cruxan, and Jaxor'an — as each warrior's 'Instinct' awakens for a different human woman. The world of Luxiria expands with each book: its politics, its ecology, its ancient customs, and the slow integration of human women into a society built for war.
