Swing Shift

Swing Shift follows Gus, a Boogieman and powerful apex predator who prefers the quiet, predictable life of a Detective in the Paranormal Investigations Department (PID). A veteran seeking solace after his tour of duty, Gus works a routine of reports, coffee, and leads, a stark contrast to his true nature, which he keeps hidden.

His carefully constructed normalcy is disrupted when a contractor named Melody shakes up his life and a new rookie, Vanessa, joins the PID. Gus also gains an unlikely ally: an Elven Dryad Sorceress with a casual approach to killing. He finds himself navigating complex cases involving rogue paranormals and powerful organizations, and is eventually fired from his comfortable role with minimal explanation.

Now jobless, Gus must rely on his fearsome reputation and skills as The Hunter to survive. In the series, he faces supernatural threats and organized crime, confronting both his past and an uncertain future. Expect graphic violence, unconventional opinions, and a main character who eschews diplomacy.
