Monster's Mercy

Monster's Mercy follows Rene, a former hitman haunted by a monstrous presence within his own mind that drove him to kill. His past catches up to him when, after a mission gone wrong and in order to atone for his crimes, he is sent to a different world and time to live a life of betterment.

Given video game-like abilities, Rene attempts to build an ideal existence and family. But his past and skills, though useful, threaten to drag him back into the underworld, this time as The Hood, the Mask, and young Anatolis. Balancing multiple identities including running an orphanage, a business as a bounty hunter and money lender, and even an underground gang, Rene becomes a target as war looms.

Will he find redemption, or will his past condemn him to a fate worse than death?
