The Riyria Chronicles

The Riyria Chronicles follows the exploits of Royce Melborn, a cynical ex-assassin, and Hadrian Blackwater, an idealistic ex-mercenary, as they establish themselves as rogues-for-hire under the name Riyria. The series begins with an impossible heist to steal a treasure from the impregnable Crown Tower, commissioned by an old wizard.

Their reputation grows as they undertake varied assignments. In one case, Royce returns to help Gwen DeLancy, a woman who previously saved them. Later, they are hired to prevent the assassination of a noblewoman, leading them to uncover secrets from Royce's past. Other missions involve uncovering what happened to a wealthy whiskey baron's missing daughter and stopping a disgruntled dwarf from destroying the towers of Drumindor. Each adventure brings new challenges for the unlikely duo and tests their partnership.
