The Synthesis Trilogy

The Synthesis Trilogy begins in 2036 with the discovery of an ancient alien outpost on Mars, catapulting humanity into an era of advanced technology and extrasolar colonization. By the late 22nd century, however, humanity's progress is marred by interstellar war and greed.

Synthesis introduces Kayden, a discharged military pilot who stumbles upon a discovery even more significant than the Mars outpost. This leads him to the Kel Confederacy, a species whose mastery of genetic engineering aided humanity’s rise and who are locked in an age-old conflict with technologically advanced rivals.

In Legacy, Kayden and his crew become embroiled in this interstellar war. As the only being who has successfully combined genetic engineering and cybernetics, Kayden must attempt to end the war before it consumes humanity.

The series culminates in Retribution, where Earth has fallen to the Voidborn, leaving the fate of humanity and the galaxy resting on Kayden and his crew's shoulders as they try to mount a counterattack.
