Frontier Lord

Yager is a skilled soldier left without employment when his kingdom achieves peace. Taking work on the frontier, he plans a quiet life outside settled lands -- instead he finds invasions, direwolves, assassins, and ancient Dwarven magic flowing through his veins. Alongside a powerful mage ally and a recovered lost love, he begins building a holdfast in the Elkwood Valley from raw timber and stone.

Yager is a competent, grounded male soldier turned reluctant lord -- pragmatic, loyal, and most comfortable with a sword rather than a throne. He earns authority through trust rather than birth, building genuine bonds with his followers. His romantic reunion with a lost love adds personal warmth to a story driven by duty.

Across three books, Yager grows from frontier soldier to Baron of Elkwood Valley to a unifying leader rallying Elves, Dwarves, and frontier folk against a corrupted king. Each installment raises the stakes from local defense to kingdom-wide war, while settlement-building, magical mastery, and political alliances weave through every volume. The trilogy concludes with a decisive final battle for Eldoria itself.
