The Acts of Caine

The Acts of Caine is a fantasy series following Hari Michaelson, on Earth a superstar known as Caine in the alternate reality of Ankhana (also called Overworld). As Caine, he is a renowned and exceptionally skilled killer whose adventures are broadcast to billions on Earth.

Caine becomes embroiled in complex conflicts that span both worlds. He's forced to confront powerful rulers and dangerous enemies to save his estranged wife, Pallas Rill. Later, Caine's actions in Overworld open a door between the worlds, threatening everything he loves. Now, alone and possibly crippled (or half-crippled), he must face enemies old and new to save both Earth and Overworld.

Known for defeating the Black Knives, Caine returns years later to the scene of his greatest triumph - at the request of his brother - only to find himself once again fighting for his life with the fate of two worlds in his hands. Crippled by the studio that exploited him, Caine is dragged back for one last deal to go to Overworld where his past will catch him in a violent odyssey in which he is tasked with saving the universe.
