The First Chronicles: Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever

The First Chronicles: Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever is an epic fantasy series centered on Thomas Covenant, a man who finds himself transported to a strange alternate world known as the Land. He is dubbed "the Unbeliever" due to his skepticism.

In this world, he is seen as a reincarnation of a legendary hero, Berek Halfhand, and possesses the mystic power of White Gold. The Land is threatened by Lord Foul the Despiser, an ancient evil Covenant must fight, despite not understanding his own power.

As the series progresses, Covenant is repeatedly summoned back to the Land, each time finding it further imperiled by Lord Foul. The Lords of the Land, struggling against Foul's growing power, increasingly rely on Covenant's white gold magic to navigate the Illearth War and defend against the encroaching darkness. He is joined by a Giant, a Bloodguard, and a madwoman to challenge destiny and save the Land.
